Have you ever wondered if you can use gel stain on painted cabinets or furniture? Well the answer is YES!
It was time to freshen up my lavender guest restroom, and part of that included painting the cabinets. The Gel Stain Over Painted Cabinet technique can be used on kitchen cabinets, bathrooms, or any cabinets you have. We went from lavender to pale yellow, and I used Dixie Belle No Pain Gel Stain in Walnut to give them a Farmhouse-aged look. This is a quick and easy makeover that will not break the bank.
Here is another project I did using just the Gel Stain. Although this piece was not previously painted, it is another option when using gel stain. I applied Dixie Belle No Pain Gel Stain in Espresso to a Farmhouse tabletop that we built from 2 x 12 lumber from Lowe’s. Didn’t it turn out great?
